Wolsdorff Tobacco
WOLSDORFF has been synonymous with smoking culture since 1907, with a tradition of tobacco products and expert customer advice provided by outstanding employees since 1907. It was his ‘great love of cigars’ that prompted Hamburg merchant Emil Karl Ferdinand Wolsdorff to open his first shop on Georgsplatz in Hamburg on 7 May 1907. He wanted to run a wide-ranging cigar business and therefore had two plans: firstly, to build up a WOLSDORFF own-brand range with exclusive varieties, manufactured by quality producers in Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg. Secondly, he wanted to establish a wide-ranging network of branches in all major German cities in order to achieve nationwide distribution of his brands. Both plans were successfully implemented and expanded. Soon, the diverse range included not only WOLSDORFF cigars but also renowned imports, tobaccos, cigarettes, pipes and accessories.
